At Lifelong Wedding Ceremonies, our ordained ministers recognize that cats can bring plenty of fantastic talents and good vibes, for those wedding couples wise enough to understand and recognize their true value and worth. Indeed, many of our wedding clients want to incorporate their beloved felines into their religious and non-religious wedding ceremonies. Our justice of the peace has put together a list of ways in which those old souls who are tying the knot can properly help their cats fill vital roles before, during, and after a wedding ceremony. This partial list includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Event Coordinators:
Cats make superb wedding supervisors, as they are adept at managing complicated tasks and telling everyone else what to do. Their mannerisms are usually subtle in this regard, yet their quiet, commanding presence and status as a god or goddess makes them perfect wedding planners for those who recognize their authority and skills.
Witnesses to Sign Marriage Licenses:
Our marriage pastors also note that some states, such as Colorado, allow cats to sign off as witnesses on wedding licenses. Yes, cast that transphobic or racist family member aside, because your cat, Whiskers, may sign instead! Their pawprints look adorably on wedding licenses, too, and the State of Colorado fully recognizes cats’ authority to place their stamp of approval onto your marriage.
Bridescat/Groomscat:
Some wedding couples also elect to have their beloved felines help as a bridesmaid, bridesman, groomsman, or groomsmaid. We often refer to these special felines who fill this vital wedding role as bridescats or groomscats, although nonbinary future spouses may refer to them as something else. Whatever the case, there is no special advisor and leader of any wedding party than your beloved cat.
Also, your cat will look adorable – even more than she or he already does, if that is possible – in a little cat tuxedo or dress! Your wedding photographer and wedding videographer will have a field day with this kind of footage. Indeed, your family and friends will love seeing your cat serve in this role, and your photos and videos will get tons of views on social media and will even go viral!
Ring Bearer:
Some brides, grooms, and nonbinary partners also ask their cats to be ring bearers at wedding ceremonies. They can walk or run down the aisle on their own, or humans may also carry them down or bring them in a stroller to where the two future spouses are at the front. Cats may hold the rings around their necks, or they may carry the wedding rings in on a small pillow. Our wedding officiants in Oklahoma are more than happy to help give extra pointers and advice about this, if needed.
Flower Cat:
Our ordained ministers have also witnessed plenty of felines place flowers on the aisle, before the bride walks up to the front. Cats may carry the flowers down and flick them out a few at a time, or they may use their mouths. Some cats even have human assistants accompany them and assist with the disbursement of flowers along the aisle. Whatever the case, our wedding planners highly recommend felines for filling this important wedding ceremony role.
Oklahoma Wedding Minister:
Cats may also serve as wedding officiants in Edmond, OK. Some may need a human to help sign the marriage license thereafter, depending on the state one resides in. But cats give off plenty of wisdom and advice to wedding couples, with or without the need for spoken words humans often use. By simply listening to cats’ body language and by learning what their meows mean and learning how to speak cat, brides, grooms, and nonbinary future spouses can have the best wedding officiant ever who can officiate their wedding ceremony in the most special of ways.
Best Cat/Cat of Honor:
Cats also make excellent top wedding party advisors, serving in roles such as best cat and the cat of honor. Leave that hateful, transphobic sister of yours at home, and bring your cat instead for this role. Everyone will have a better time without her constant transphobia, and cats are not transphobic at all. Indeed, they will help reduce stress for both future spouses and their wedding parties, and they can also offer advice, hold pieces of clothing, and more. Indeed, felines are our ordained officiants’ number one recommendation for this top wedding party role.
Spiritual Advisor:
Cats are incredibly spiritual beings, with many cats serving in this role by within and outside of Oklahoma wedding ceremonies. Whether for premarital counseling marital counseling, as wedding officiants, or even as the earthly representative of cat gods and goddesses that many humans worship like Bastet. Indeed, felines make the perfect spiritual advisors, with their lack of judgments, cuddles, listening ears, and wisdom.
Music Coordinator:
Cats are excellent with music, because their meows are music to the ears of wedding guests and others who attend. From quiet mews to loud howls, you can bring multiple cats for a whole choir of chorus singers. Our gay wedding officiants note you will have a fabulous wedding this way, and everyone will leave there telling others that their special experience truly was the cats’ meow!
Premarital Counseling/Counseling Services:
Many wedding couples seeking to tie the knot and become newlyweds also choose to undergo premarital counseling. Felines help couples relax during these sessions, enabling them to work on issues together while feeling relaxed and petting their premarital counselor underneath the chin or giving gentle scratches on her ears. What better wayhttps://lifelongweddingceremonies.com/premarital-counseling/ to better understand each other better, than under the gentle guidance and tutelage of a cat god or goddess?
People who are already married who are experiencing marital strife can also benefit from feline-based counseling sessions. Cat-based therapy is extremely relaxing, cost-effective, and if they do not need a nap during your appointment, they can help bring couples closer together. Indeed, by remembering the real reason of working together as felines in cat prides do, marriage can become more meaningful and fulfilling.
If the wedding couple’s cat-therapist needs a nap during the marriage ceremony, then the couple can simply sleep and cuddle together with each other and their marriage counselor. Unlike doing this with a human therapist, this does not cross any boundaries, and some cats even encourage it! Our ordained ministers in OKC have seen many couples seeking both marital counseling and premarital counseling have extraordinary success with cats as marriage counselors, especially when their previous efforts with human or artificial intelligence (AI)-based therapists have failed.
Private Security
No one wants cat haters, transphobic bigots, racists, xenophobes, misogynists, or homophobes, or unruly dogs at your wedding ceremony. Thus, you can have your felines serve as bouncers of sorts, because with their infinite wisdom and perception abilities, they can immediately approve or deny wedding guests who try to enter the wedding venue in Oklahoma City. If they do not immediately turn around and leave, your felines can spring into action with claws and biting, which will help encourage humans there to come to the cats’ aid, if needed, to help escort the bad humans out right away.
As you can see, there are plenty of ways in which our wedding planners and chaplains at Lifelong Wedding Ceremony have for those wishing to include their precious felines into their nuptials. We have been performing marriage ceremonies of all types for decades, and couples who have opted to include their beloved felines into their weddings have never had any regrets later. If you want more tips or advice about the roles cats can fill at your wedding, then please hire a wedding officiant at our organization and they will walk you through the process step-by-step.
